As a certified Lightning Path mentor I understand that my relationship with my client is a support relationship. I am there to provide guidance, feedback, and gentle corrective advice. If my mentee asks a question, I will provide a no compromise, no strings attached reply. If my mentee self reports behaviors that are self destructive or that may be expected to impede awakening and empowerment, I will give them a straight, non judgmental, factually oriented comment designed to encourage their awareness of the negative aspects of the behaviours. If I sense a specific chakra blockage, I will point this out. If I can say something to reassure you, strengthen the ego, or improve the self esteem of the individual, I will say it. If I believe my mentee needs to do, or think, or act in order to maintain forward movement, I will help them realize it.
As a certified Lightning Path mentor I will never create a dependency, maintain an unnecessarily long relationship, or engage in inappropriate emotional relationships, psychological, or physical relationships with my mentees. As an LP mentor I will maintain strict professional and emotional boundaries at all times and never act as a friend, partner, or parent. I will always stay firmly in the role of mentor.
As an LP mentor I will strive for objectivity and work hard to ensure my ego and interests do not corrupt the mentor-mentee relationship. I understand that LP mentors are motivated by the positive desire to help and not the negative need to repair damaged structures in their own psyches. Therefore I will strive to be whole, healed, and fully functioning to ensure that at all times the mentor relationship remains about the mentee and not about me.
Recognizing the importance of energetic exchange, I will charge a fair hourly fee for my services.
I understand that as an LP mentor I provide a spiritual support service. My only interest is ensuring the awakening and empowerment of my mentee by helping them to increase the alignment of their physical unit with higher consciousness through right action, right thought, and right environment.
I will work towards ensuring the spiritual, psychological, and emotional independence of my mentees.
I will listen to the constructive feedback of my mentees, LP practitioners, LP elders, and others who may have suggestion on how to improve my practice and deepen my understanding.
I will serve for the greatest good of all life.
